Introduction
Bromsgrove District Council has identified Land North of Western Road as a suitable location for housing to support their emerging Local Plan.
Ashberry Strategic Land and Bloor Homes support the delivery of housing and are preparing an outline planning application for Land North of Western Road.
The site comprises approximately 8 hectares of land located on the southern edge of Hagley.
This website provides initial details of the proposed development, and the opportunity for you to provide your comments on the outline scheme as part of the pre-application consultation process. We welcome your views, which can be provided via the online feedback form above.

Site Context
The site is being brought forward by two well established and respected house builders, Ashberry Strategic Land and Bloor Homes, and will be subject to two outline planning applications which together will deliver the proposed development.
The site is bound by the A491 Stourbridge Road to the east and Western Road to the south. Gallows Brook is located to the north of the site and sits in a valley that separates the site and existing residential development. Further residential development lies to the west. Therefore, the site forms a logical completion of the built form in this location.
A Public Right of Way crosses the site northeast to southwest and connects to Western Road where footpaths lead into the centre of Hagley.
Whilst the site is located in the Green Belt, it has been identified by Bromsgrove as a suitable site for housing development.
Hagley is a sustainable settlement which includes a wide range of services and facilities that serve the local community. It is also well connected to public transport, including rail and bus.
Hagley is also well placed within the natural environment, including Hagley Hall Listed Park and Garden and the Clent Hills Country Park which offer recreational opportunities for residents to enjoy.
